The Santa Fe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico presents a free talk by Dr. Chick Keller, "San Pedro Park Wilderness Flora and what it means?" One of the wettest areas in New Mexico, San Pedro Parks Wilderness is located in the Jemez Mountains.Vegetation on the plateau consists of grassy meadows, called “parks,” interspaced with forests of Engleman Spruce, other conifers, and Quaking Aspen. Wildflowers of many species abound.
The meeting is on Wednesday,January 16, 2013 -6:30 pm @ Morgan Hall in NM State Land Office at 310 Old Santa Fe Trail. Free parking is available in the Land Office Parking lot
