Don't know if these products are good, but might be worth checking out:

March 24- International Mulch Company today announced they will have recycled more than 200 million pounds of tires into landscaping and playground products by the end of the year. This number amounts to more than 12 million tires that just a few years ago would have gone to a landfill, dumped illegally or stacked in a pile. The past decade has seen a dramatic shift in tire recycling, and IMC has led the way with a constantly evolving and ever-expanding product line.

From their industry standard, realistically-textured Rubberific Mulch to NuPlay, one of the safest playground coverings available, the company continues to add to its full suite of products. Over the past few years the company has developed timbers, mats, tree rings, landscape borders and now for 2009, stepping stones are available. These Stepping Stones are the ideal product for gardeners looking to add a decorative path or accent pieces to the yard. Unlike their concrete predecessors, these 100% recycled rubber stones will not crack, chip or break due to freeze and thaw cycles. The textured rubber stones are soft and springy to walk on, heavy enough to stay in pace, but light enough to move with little effort.

“It is truly amazing to see how far the rubber recycling industry has come in less than twenty years,” says Mike Miller, president of IMC. “In 1990 less than eleven percent of tires were given a second life – there was no market and they sat in scrap yards or were buried in a landfill. Today, there is a market for 87 percent of all scrap tires. This really shows a commitment to recycling and what can be done if we put our minds to it.”
