Profile Information

What does 'sustainability' mean to you?
Sustainabilty means making responsible choices for the good of the environment and future generations.
What do you do to try and live green and what would you like to learn more about?
I combine green living with my work and home life. My husband and I are currently designing a GREEN Home which we will be breaking ground for soon. Our goal is to recieve a Silver LEED award and use our home as an educational tool for others interested in Building Green. I also keep up-to-date on Santa Fe's new Green Building Codes, will soon be awarded an NAR Green Realtor designation (one of the first in the US) and take intensive Green Building coursework to fully understand the Green Building Process. I am part of the SFHBA Green Council and will be helping to plan the GREEN Summit at the Santa Fe convention center to be held this Fall 2009. I also attend Green Drinks events - a nationwide networking group that supports Green Building. Green Building is an exciting prospect that I am passionate about. By building energy efficient homes we can help rebuild the US economy! (My web site will be up soon!)

HB 572 - no upfront costs for Solar Thermal & Solar PV..., Tax Credits for Green Building

A Great Bill!

Support HB 572 -- It's on the Governor’s desk waiting for his signature.
Send him a quick note asking him to sign it. It’s important Bill Richardson hear from community members that support solar. This bill allows property owners to buy & install solar systems (both PV and thermal) without any upfront expenses & repay the loan through their property tax bill.

You can listen to Brian's Podcast about it how it works on KSFR here:
