Since I was gone last week I missed this little gem - a
USGS report just released regarding water quality in domestic wells.
Nitrate is the only human-caused contaminant found in the test of 1,700 wells in the major water basins of 48 states. But one in five wells was found to be above safe drinking water standards for naturally occurring inorganics like arsenic, uranium and more. In NM, several wells along the Rio Grande were tested.
